The Arts and Technology program (ATEC) at the University of Texas at Dallas offers a comprehensive degree program designed to explore and foster the convergence of computer science and engineering with creative arts and the humanities. It is a collaborative partnership between UTD's Schools of Arts and Humanities and Engineering. Its students and faculty are more entrepreneurial and social media oriented than typical. To facilitate communication, ATEC has implemented a pilot using BubbleCommunities collaborative capabilities to create communities by and between classrooms. Students engage with instructors, other classmates and other students to receive and complete assignments, exchange ideas and explore related content. |
